Social solidarity in the vineyard: Terre Bentivoglio’s Oltrepò at the service of the world

Here at Terre Bentivoglio, amidst the rows of vines in Santa Giuletta, where nature marks the passage of time through the lush greening of the vine leaves, we opened our doors on Sunday, May 17th for an en plein air day filled with solicitous attention and social responsibility. In collaboration with the Team4movement and Team4med of Merate, our estate was transformed into a network of encounters, through the event “Walk, Taste, and Do Good!”, where the luminous enchantment of the hills met a desire for tangible solidarity. A walk through the vineyards, a buffet paired with our wines, a tour of the cellar, and a group workout session: these were the moments that defined the day, all bound together by a single noble purpose and a precise objective: to raise funds for Mehala, a non-profit association that, since 2004, has supported vulnerable children and families in Nepal, India, Kenya, and Burkina Faso. Over the years, the organization has helped approximately 200 children find a family and has carried out over 20 international cooperation projects. Our winery has thus striven to become a conduit for hospitality, reflecting a determination to never confine ourselves solely within the borders of our own vineyard. Much like our tactile Braille labels, designed to break down barriers and ensure social inclusion with every sip, this day served to tell the story of who we are: an organization that has believed, for generations, that authentic care knows no boundaries.
